Hue University President attends the High Level Information Visit under the ASEAN-QA project at the University of Potsdam, Germany - 12/12/2014
Between 17 and 21 November 2014, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University along with Presidents and Rectors of other Southeast Asia universities, attended the High Level Information Visit for senior university managers under the ASEAN-QA project at the University of Potsdam, Germany. The visit was to provide preparatory information for international training courses on quality assurance within said project.

ASEAN-QA is a joint endeavor by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Rectors´ Conference (HRK), and the University of Potsdam, Germany together with partners from Southeast Asia and Europe, including ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN), ASEAN University Network (AUN), European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and the Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO RIHED). The project aimed at developing capacity in the field of quality assurance (QA) in the ASEAN region.

 

 

At the Conference, presidents and rectors in Southeast Asian universities shared experiences with partners from Europe and Southeast Asia in ASEAN-QA project and evaluate the crucial role of quality assurance and management in regional and international higher education institutions.

Succeeding the High Level Information Visit will be four more modules, mainly concerned with tools and procedures of QA, curriculum design and revision, change management and linkages between quality management and higher education management. In Vietnam, participants will be from Vietnam National University at Ho Chi Minh City, Hue University, Can Tho University, University of Economics at Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City’s University of Technology and Education and Vietnam National University of Agriculture.
