In his opening remark, Dr. Truong Bach Le named the phases of forming and development in the past 60 years of the Department of English, College of Foreign Languages, Hue University. Department of English - HUCoFl was once Department of Literature and Department of Education under the University of Hue (1957). In 60 years of development, the Faculty has gone through various phases in the context of various organizational structures of Hue University in particular and of historical periods of the country in general. Currently, tens of faculty have been awarded the titles Prof., Assoc.Prof., etc. The Department's graduates are working in many different fields, such as management, tourism, diplomacy, teaching, etc. all over the country. These generations of students, themselves, created the brandname the Department of English - HUCoFL.

The ceremony took place in a warm atmosphere, where old memories were recalled, profound gratitude expressed to the former leaders and lecturers of the Faculty. The department of English was determined to continue to train high-quality human resources, to meet the needs of industrialization and modernization of the country and global integration. Earlier (March 03rd), the career talk show between alumni and current students attracted a large number of students.
