Vietnamese delegation and the new AUF President, Prof. Mihai Sorin Cimpeanu, Rector of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest (Romania).

Implementation of this strategy will address the three main challenges faced by universities, which have been the focus of three round tables: the quality of training and research, the employability of graduates, and the role of the Universities in the global and local development.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University, an official member of AUF, participated in the election of the new AUF President.

Since 1995, AUF and Hue University have been cooperating closely: opening training programs in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (HU-University of Pedagogy) and Law (HU-University of Law) in French. In 2004, two more programs in Medicine (HU-University of Medicine) and Tourism (HU-University of Economics) were opened. The objective of the programs is to train the physicians and bachelors to be able to use French in their profession. Students admitted were awarded scholarships. Excellent students were offered scholarships to study French in other Francophone countries. Every year, AUF delegations visited and worked with Hue University, exploring the possibility of expanding cooperation and granting scholarships to Hue University students.
