The event drew the participation of more than 31 public and private universities and community colleges from the USA. US Consul General Rena Bitter and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President joined the fair. 

The EducationUSA fair was designed to benefit students, parents and others interested in studying opportunities in the US. The fair also included a US College Quiz and presentations on the cultural regions of the US.

Delivering her speech at the opening ceremony, US Consul General Rena Bitter expressed her excitement to lead US universities and communities to Hue University in particular and Hue City, a cultural, historical and educational center of Vietnam in general.  

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President, was very glad to receive colleges and universities from the US at Hue University. Lately, Hue University has fostered cooperation with the US through meetings with the US Ambassador to Vietnam, the US Envoy and US colleges and universities. The event offered Hue University staff and students a chance to access, learn about and set up more specific collaboration with the US education.

Before the opening ceremony of the EducationUSA Fall Fair, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President hosted a reception for US Consul General Rena Bitter.

At the fair, participants could meet face-to-face with representatives from regionally accredited colleges and universities, allowing them to get to know about training curriculum and guidance on students’ visa procedures.

The fair also informed students of the availability of free advising services at the EducationUSA Advising Centre in Ho Chi Minh City Consulate. EducationUSA is a US Department of State network of over 400 international student advising centres in more than 170 countries. The network promotes US higher education to students around the world by offering comprehensive, current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions.
