Implementing the guideline of Vietnam Minister of Education and Training and the plan of the President of Hue University on the implementation of education quality assurance activities of Hue University's member universities in order to investigate the operation quality of member universities against the set of quality accreditation standards of Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training. The university has recently implemented and completed the self-assessment of the quality of the university as an educational institution. The university's request for accreditation was approved by Center for Education Accreditation of Vietnam National University in Hanoi. After evaluating of the university's self-assessment report, on April 12, 1977, a team of external assessment experts from the Center for Education Accreditation, Hanoi National University conducted a preliminary evaluation at the University and agreed on the official evaluation agenda from May 15 to May 19.
