Hue University and Uppsala University, Sweden tighten cooperation (06-09-2017 11:07)

Following the working program in Nordic countries, in the morning of September 1, at Uppsala University in Sweden, in the presence of Mr. Phung Xuan Nha - Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam and Ms. Marlene Burwick - Mayor of Uppsala City, Hue University signed a cooperation agreement with Uppsala University in the fields of education, research, student exchange and innovation.

 

 

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University, and Professor Eva Åkesson, Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University, signed the cooperation agreement in the presence of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Mayor of Uppsala City of Sweden.

 

Uppsala University, established in 1477, is the oldest university in Sweden, has more than 40,000 students, and is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. Hue University has been cooperating with Uppsala University in EU programs such as Erasmus Mundus (LOTUS I, II, III, Unlimited and LOTUS+ projects) and Erasmus+ (EVENT: European and Vietnamese Collaboration on Graduate Employment through soft skills training).

 

 

On the same day, Hue University delegation led by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University, attended the Triple Helix conference connecting universities and businesses in innovation; and a workshop on higher education cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden. Assoc.Prof.Dr.Hoang Huu Hanh, Director of International Cooperation Department, Hue University, had a presentation at the workshop.
