Hue University’s two projects selected for funding by EACEA - European Community for Capacity building in Higher education under Erasmus+ 2016 (08-08-2016 16:24)

 

In August 1st 2016, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) under European Community announced its proposal selection results of the Program for Capacity building in Higher education, of which, two projects of Hue University, in collaboration with the Free University of Brussels, Belgium and Uppsala University, Sweden, were selected for funding. They are Vietnamese-European Knowledge and Technology Transfer Education Consortium - VETEC in cooperation with Free University of Brussels (VUB); and European and Vietnamese Collaboration on Graduate Employment - EVENT in cooperation with the University of Uppsala, Sweden.

 

 

The two projects are among 147 out of 736 applications have been selected for funding by the European Community programs for Capacity building in Higher education under Erasmus+ 2016.

 

The VETEC project aims to build and enhance the capacity of higher education institutions in Vietnam in knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) by developing academic leadership on KTT, strengthening educational capacity in KTT, establishing networks on KTT education and policy among Vietnamese stakeholders and between local and European stakeholders, and by gleaning the European partners insights on international KTT. The VETEC project addresses the Eramus+ horizontal priority of promoting the take-up of practical entrepreneurial experiences. The project budget is € 712,014.

 

The EVENT project aims to improve the employability of university graduates in Vietnam, thus clearly addressing the objectives of the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Call to improve the quality of higher education and enhance its relevance to the labor market and society. The project seeks to address the following CBHE priorities: learning and teaching tools, methodologies and pedagogical approaches, including learning outcomes and ITC-based practices; University-enterprise cooperation, entrepreneurship and employability of graduates. The project budget is € 999,189.

 

The projects will be kicked off in January 2017.
