Okayama – Hue International Master’s Program in “Sustainability of Rural and Environmental Systems” is the 1st joint education training program for post-graduate level majoring in Agriculture and Environment between Hue University and Okayama University in particular and between Hue University and the universities in Japan in general. It has been one year from the beginning of the program in the year 2007. The program can be seen as the first and significant landmark for the bright and long-term cooperation between the two universities – Okayama University and Hue University – not only in the fields of agriculture and environment but also in many other fields in the future.

The 8 students of the first course (2007-2010) have finished the basic and intensive first-year training parts at Hue University. Before transferred and enrolled into Okayama University as the second year Master students, these students will be taught Japanese within 6 months at Hue University.

During the first one year at Hue University, the students are taught by both Okayama University Professors and Hue University professors. The students have also been equipped with laptop computers, handouts, learning materials, text-books and so on. Therefore, the final evaluation on student’s learning results seems so satisfactory. The cooperation in teaching in most of the courses of the program also create good opportunities for Hue University professors in exchanging teaching experiences as well as researching experiences with Okayama University Professors. On July 15th ,2008, Okayama University held the evaluation meeting for Okayama – Hue International Master’s Program at Okayama University, Japan with the participation of professors and related staffs from these two universities.
