The 3rd Korean writing contest and Vietnam – South Korea cultural exchange festival  (28-10-2016 10:13)

In celebration of the 570th anniversary of the creation of the Korean alphabet known as Hangeul, which was recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, King Sejong Office organizes a Korean writing contest and Vietnam – South Korea cultural exchange festival.

 

 

 

In celebration of the 570th anniversary of the creation of the Korean alphabet known as Hangeul, which was recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, King Sejong Office organizes a writing contest with the participation of other King Sejong centers nationwide in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh, Quy Nhon, etc.

 

 

Duration: 08:00 - 11:00 October 22nd 2016 (Saturday)

Venue: Hue University Conference Hall, at No. 03 Le Loi Str., Hue City.

  

The Office also organizes a festival featuring Korean traditional cuisine (traditional bakery and drinks) and costumes (Hanbok, Taekwondo martial art) where you can enjoy the foods as well as try on the costumes to have your photographs taken for memory’s sake…

 

The King Sejong Office in Hue, established in 2013, was cooperation between Hue University and BBB Korea – a Korean nongovernmental voluntary language organization with the aim to teach the Korean language and Korean culture. From opening up to now, about 450 to 500 learners completed its courses; The learners from not only Hue City’s neighboring cities but also far off cities in the south such as Can Tho, Ca Mau, etc. come to the King Sejong Office to enroll in Korean language and culture classes.

 

For each course, the King Sejong office organizes a cultural experience and exchange festival. This festival is the biggest festival since the establishment of the office 3 years ago.
