The project “The operation of evidence-based nursing program” – a cooperation between Gachon University - the Republic of Korea and College of Medicine and Pharmacy – Hue University officially launched (19-12-2016 06:15)

On 19 December 2016, the project “The operation of evidence-based nursing program” - a cooperation between Gachon University - the Republic of Korea and College of Medicine – Hue University was officially launched.

 

Attending the project kick-off ceremony, from Gachon University, Prof.Cho Kyung Sook - Dean of Department of Nursing, and Prof. Kim Yummi - Project Manager; from College of Medicine and Pharmacy - Hue University, Prof.Vo Tam and Assoc.Prof.Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Vice Rectors.

 

 

Following the successes of the 1st phase of the project achieved in the construction and operation of the Hue Halla Center for Excellence in Nursing Education such as providing training courses in emergency care for staff of Central Vietnam medical centers; improving the quality of nursing training courses up to regional and international standards; application of new teaching methods in nursing education, namely Problem-based learning (PBL), online training methods (E-Learning), learning utilizing electronic technologies (U-Learning), Scenario-Problem based learning (S-PBL). The project also successfully organized meaningful community activities as health festival, health awareness raising at mountainous elementary schools and disadvantaged areas and public health researches.

 

 

With the approval of the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development - Republic of Korea and the National Research Foundation of Korea, Gachon University was selected to implement the next phase of the project "Capacity building for the Faculty of Nursing, College of Medicine and Pharmacy - Hue University and to establish a system of medical emergency training from 2016 - 2018. Phase 2 of the project is expected to continue the successes achieved and step by step achieve new targets in order to improve nursing training and practice capacity, in order to establish the first emergency system in Vietnam.
