Training Course on quality accreditation through external peer review (13-04-2016 04:38)

In preparing for peer review and then external review in quality accreditation, on April 4 and 5, 2016, Hue University organized a training course on quality accreditation of education institutions through external peer review, focusing techniques for a university’s education quality assessment with three trainers - experts with extensive experience in quality assurance, namely: Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of Scientific Management and Development Cooperation - Institute for Education Quality Assurance – Vietnam National University (INFEQA), Hanoi and Dr. Scott Danielson, Director of The Vocational and University Leadership and Innovation Institute (VULII) - Ira A Fulton Schools of Engineering, Arizona State University, member of Executive Committe of the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc and Ms. Nguyen Huong, quality assurance coordinator, Arizona State University, Representative Office in Vietnam.

 

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Anh, Vice-President of Hue University expected that the information and lessons learned provided by the experts would be applied sucessfully in HU’s quality accrediation activities by HU’s managers and staff in charge of quality inspection.

 

The training course attracted broad participation of managers, staffs in charge of quality assurance and training and lecturers from member colleges of Hue University. The contents introduced and discussed included new regulations on education accreditation at universities by the Ministry of Education and Training, peer review procedures and activities, reviews tools and report writing, etc.

 

The training course is one of the essential activities of Hue University in implementing its key tasks in higher education quality assurance and accreditation towards achieving national and regional quality standards.
