The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 include 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions. The ranking is based on 13 calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. The ranking analyzed over 121 million citations across more than 15.5 million scientific publications and included survey responses from 40,000 scholars globally.
The most important criterion for a higher education institution to be included in the ranking is publishing more than 1,000 articles over a five-year period and a minimum of 150 articles a year. In 5 years (2017-2021), the total number of articles of Hue University reached nearly 1.650 and more than 150 articles per year. Hue University has many policies to develop the scale and improve the quality of the staff, training activities, science and technology, and international cooperation activities, reach the top 1000 universities in the world and the top 300 universities in Asia, and develop into a national university according to the Resolution No. 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
