On September 7, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Hue University President, and Dr. Le Thi My Ha, Director of SEAMEO’s Regional Center for Lifelong Learning in Vietnam (SEAMEO CELLL) signed an agreement to promote cooperation in training, and scientific research through appropriate programs of both parties.
On the morning of August 15, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Phuong, President of Hue University had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam and the Royal Thai Embassy on the occasion of his trip to visit and work in Thua Thien Hue province.
On July 6, 2022, Hue University solemnly held a ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize the President of Hue University in the tenure 2021 - 2026. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of Party Civil Affairs Committee, Minister of Education and Training awarded the Decision. Attendants at the ceremony were Mr. Le Truong Luu, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thua Thien Hue Province; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training; leaders of Thua Thien Hue province and Hue city; leaders of provinces, and universities; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Hue University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Phuong, President of Hue University; and leaders of Hue University through different terms and member, subordinate, and affiliated units.
From June 6 to 8, 2022, within the framework of VLIR-IUC Program - Component 1, Hue University organized a Training workshop on Innovation in higher education from the perspective of innovation awards. 43 staff and lecturers from member universities, schools, faculties, and branches of Hue University attended the training.
On June 8, 2022, Hue University organized the Experience sharing Workshop on Commercialization of scientific and technological products with the aim to bring opportunities for Hue University scientists and managers to promote and develop science and technology market in the period of the industrial revolution 4.0 and to meet the social demands in applying the research findings into manufacturing practice.
E-learning is a modern training model that meets the requirements of digital transformation in education and integrates with the development trend of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in early 2020, e-learning has become the most suitable response solution.
On the morning of March 7, 2022, the Italian ODA Project Management Board of Hue University and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held the ground-breaking ceremony of the high-tech Obstetrics and Gynecology Center of the Hospital of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University with the ODA capital from the Italian Republic and the reciprocal capital from Vietnam. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Antonio Alessandro, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Vietnam; Mr. Enrico Padula, Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Michele Boario, representative of the Italian Development Cooperation office in Hanoi; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Hue University Council; and Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University, Director of the ODA Italia Project Management Unit of Hue University.
On the morning of February 28, 2022, the Center for National Defense and Security Education - Hue University organized the Training Course 217 for 1220 students of the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. This was the first direct course of the academic year 2021 - 2022 according to the Circular 05/2020/TT-BGDĐT dated March 18, 2020, by the Ministry of Education and Training on promulgating the defense and security education program for pedagogical schools, pedagogical colleges, and higher education institutions.
With 65 years of establishment and development, Hue University currently is pioneering and core educational institution for high-quality human resources training of the Central, the Highlands, and the whole country. Hue University always remains the top five best educational institutions in Vietnam, top 401 – 450 leading universities in Asia.
On October 15, 2021, Hue University celebrated the opening ceremony of the academic year 2021-2022 directly and virtually for the School of Tourism and Hospitality, School of Physical Education, International School, School of Engineering and Technology, and Hue University Quang Tri Branch.
"Module ESP8266 Nodemcu Application to develop a smart home controller for disease prevention" created by a group of students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University won the first prize in "Energy Efficiency Innovation Contest for Lecturers and Students 2021" (EEC 2021).
On the morning of September 23, 2021, Hue University Youth Union- Students’ Association held the Online Conference on the Works of the Youth Union and Students’ Association and Student Movement in the academic year 2020- 2021 and the Promotion of Tasks and Activities for the academic year 2020-2021. Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh, Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the School Division of the Central Youth Union, Mr. Hoang Thi Phuong Hien, Acting Deputy Secretary of Thua Thien Hue province Youth Union, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Van Chuong, Secretary of Hue University Party Committee and Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Vice President of Hue University attended the conference.
These activities led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Phuong - Rector of the University of Education, Hue University aimed to support High School teachers to use proficiently online teaching software.
Right after arriving in Binh Tan District, the 4th volunteer group of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University including 12 members had immediately started their duties. The volunteer group together with the Executive Steering Board of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy discussed to implement the program “F0 Health Care in the community” to reduce pressure for the front-line force and lessen the fatality rate of Covid-19 patients.
