Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University, giving bus tickets for students to come home for Tet

As Traditional New Year holiday and New Spring are approaching, in the past few days, Hue University and the affiliated universities and units have carried out many activities to support students to return home for New Year celebration. The University of Agriculture and Forestry raised more than 150 million VND from companies, enterprises, staff and students to organise 12 buses bringing about 450 disadvantaged students to return home in Quang Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh and the Central Highlands provinces for the New Year holiday. Moreover, the University also presented 250 New year gift packages to the most disadvantaged students. The University of Foreign Languages organized the art event "Spring Tune", to raise money to support students to return home for New Year. The event raised 28 million VND to arrange bus tickets for 140 students. The University of Education raised 20 million VND to arrange buses for 200 students to return home. The University of Sciences raised 37 million VND to buy buses tickets for 116 students. Also in this occasion, the Youth Union of Hue University in collaboration with the Trade Union of Hue University managed to raise 40 million VND to support students return home for new year celebration with their families. In total, in the occasion of this year traditional new year festival, Hue University managed to raise 275 million VND to support more than 1,000 students to return home and presenting them meaningful new year gift packages.

The event is a meaningful activity, illustrating the care of Hue University, teachers, friends and society for disadvantaged students and somehow educating students the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, sharing with friends and society.
