Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to Mr. Ho Viet Duc, Student of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University (formerly student of Quoc Hoc – Hue High School for the Gifted) who has excellent result in the International Biology Olympiad 2020

In the world university rankings, Hue University increased in 918 places, rising to 2740 from 3658 in Webometrics World University rankings by Cyber metrics Labs; reached the group 401st to 450th in QS Asia University ranking 2021; the second year, reached the top 10 Vietnamese universities in URAP; and the first time, was listed in SCImago 2020.

 French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery and French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Vincent Floreani visited and worked with Hue University.

According to Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Hue University Vice President, in 2020, Hue University ranked the 2nd in the list of prestigious international scientific papers commended by the Ministry of Education and Training. Hue University also had 415 papers published on the Scopus journal list. On October 26th, 2020, Hue University Journal of Science has been accepted by the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ).

Moreover, Hue University coordinated 2 out of 5 projects for Capacity building in Higher Education funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ in the past 5 years to develop a Master’s program in Agroecology (from 2019) and a Master’s program in Climate Change Policy and Law (from 2020).

In 2020, Hue University had some new training programs such as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, International Economics, International Relations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, High-Tech Agriculture, Date Management and Analysis, and Midwifery.
