The project on developing the Center for Creation and Development of One commune, One Product Program in Thua Thien Hue province is implemented by Hue University, in collaboration with Thua Thien Hue Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (VIETCRAFT) and related agencies.

It is necessary to establish an OCOP center in Thua Thien Hue province. This start-up OCOP center will provide professional consulting services in the development of OCOP products, introduce and promote the commercialization of OCOP products, consult and develop rural tourism services associated with OCOP products and agricultural ecology. The center will also be the venue for OCOP events according to the provincial policy of a four-season festival city.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director, Central Coordination Office on New Rural Development supported the establishment of OCOP Center in Hue, along with two centers in Hanoi and Kien Giang.

On the same day, the delegation had a field trip to smart commune models in Quang Tho commune, Bao La Bamboo and Rattan Cooperative, and Tan Nguyen Incense.
