Hue University attending NutriSEA project’s Kick-off Meeting (Erasmus+ KA2) at Phnom Penh, Cambodia (12-03-2016) (14-03-2016 09:59)

From 07 to 09 March 2016, the delegation of Hue University including Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President and Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Director of International Cooperation Office - NutriSEA Project Coordinator at Hue University attended the kick-off meeting of NutriSEA project – under Key Action 2 “Capacity Building in Higher Education” of the European Commission’s Erasmus + programme.

“Network of Universities and Enterprises for Food Training in Southeast Asia” (A consortium of 14 partner institutions from Europe and Southeast Asia), called NutriSEA’s project, coordinated by Ghent University (Belgium), lasts for 36 months from 2015 – 2018 (http://nutrisea.eu/).

 

NutriSEA project includes 9 work packages with the following specific objectives:

  • to reform curricula related to food production at BA/MA level at the 6 partner universities in SEA, in line with the new regional developments and the locally developed evidence-based market demands by 2018. There will also be a strong focus on teaching methodologies, including the use of ICT, and enterprises will be actively involved in defining learning outcomes and offering internships.
  • to train:
    • 18 academic trainers (Regional Food Training Team): language skills, research skills, soft skills and teaching methodologies , general knowledge on management specifically on food industry specific topic such as entrepreneurship, efficiency improvement, quality management. 
    • 10 Technology Transfer staff: technology transfer, entrepreneurship and transferable skills
    • 10 International Relations Officers: internationalisation strategies, mobility management, organisation of International Offices, project management
  • to set-up or reinforce Technology Transfer Units at the partner universities which focus on university-enterprise cooperation and innovation. The aim is to set up a regional food network with all relevant stakeholders (universities, enterprises, authorities) by the end of the project

At the meeting, detailed contents and schedules of the work packages were identified. Right after the meeting, the work packages leaders from UGent + Hue started preparing the detailed contents and schedules organize first training courses at Hue City from 14 to 18 November 2016.
