This exhibition is one of a series of activities to respond to World Environment Day 2017 of Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training and Hue University with the theme "Living in harmony with Nature". Exhibition is one of the practical and significantly meaningful activities of Hue University staff and students in particular and the whole community in general. This is a specific art activity which has been maintained by University of Arts, Hue University during the past 15 years. This activity creates a practice opportunity for art students and raises the awareness of environmental protection among students, the local community and the whole society. 

The exhibition features nearly 100 works of art with the theme of protection of the environment and community life, including more than 40 paintings selected from the Environment Protection Painting Competition organized by the Environment Agency and works of arts created by the students, administration staff and faculty members of University of Arts, Hue University in recent years. The works are arranged nicely at an open park on poetic Huong river bank.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University, emphasized that Hue University located in the province of Thua Thien Hue was favored with beautiful landscapes and had the rich culture and tradition. Hue University teachers and students were always aware of their role and responsibility in preserving and protecting the environment, creating a healthy life. Hue University President highly appreciated University of Arts, Hue University in the past years with its artistic activities, actively contributing to raising awareness of the local community on environmental protection.
