Japanese companies and Daystar Educational Corporation offered Hue University students internship opportunities in Japan. (23-05-2017 09:00)

On 22/5/2017, Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University welcomed and had a working meeting with Daystar Educational Corporation and Japanese companies. The focus of the meeting is internship opportunities in Japan. The two sides expressed their willingness to cooperate and discussed related issues to ensure the benefits of students and success of the program.

Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University believed that this would be a good opportunity for Hue University students to approach Japanese enterprises, looking for employment opportunities and to learn Japanese language and culture. However, because this cooperation model is new to Hue University, Hue University currently only has cooperation in joint training and recognition of credit between two universities, not between a university and enterprises, Hue University and Daystar and the Japanese companies should discuss in great detail.

Mr. Ishibashi Toshihiko, Planning Manager, Good Harmony Cooperative Association, Japan presented the advantages of the program: interns will have apportunities to refine their professional skills, to improve Japanese language, all living expenses in Japan will be provided, etc. The Good Harmony Cooperative Association has recently hosted three students from Hue. Feedbacks from the interns and Japanese intership companies are all very good.

Lawyer Nguyen Van Choi, General Director of Daystar, stated that the chances of returning to Japan to work after internships are very high. Daystar will provide Japanese language training before interns' departure.

At the meeting, the two sides raised many issues to be solved: the Japanese companies require an internship duration of 6 months or more while current HU's internship duration is 4-5 months; Limits caused by the current regulations on credit recognition; Language barrier, etc.

The two sides agreed to continue discussions in the time to come.
