The construction of Student House, including a 10 floor block (approximately 600 rooms), a sports complex and a service center, at the planning zone of Hue University is funded in the form of BOO (building, owner and operation) with a total of over 200 billion VND. This model of housing adjacent to playground and open spaces - one conventional modern dormitory is developed based on a successful design in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and China, etc. With high end services and facilities, green space, modern equipment and advanced management system, HU’s student house is expected to bring comfortable living for HU students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University highly appreciated the investor’s approach. This investment approach is a good model, which realizes the education socialization policy of the Party and the Government; satisfies HU students’ accommodation needs and furthermore creates the most comprehensive development environment. The fact that student housing project at HU planning zone to be completed and put into use in late 2017 is significantly meaningful because it marks the 60th anniversary of Hue University’s founding. The HU President requested the investor to comply with its commitments to serve HU students, graduate students and young faculty; to develop a typical cultural residential area in Hue; and implement preferential programs for HU’s disadvantaged students.

The HU president urged Thua Thien Hue province leaders to invest in the modernization of transport infrastructure between Hue University’s main campus and member colleges, affiliated units, which multiply the effectiveness of the project.
