The milestone of bilateral collaboration between the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, Vietnam, and the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest, Romania (26-01-2024 10:52)

Within the framework of the official visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-level delegates of the Vietnamese Government to Romania, Professor Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, the Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, had the honor of accompanying them in advancing collaborative efforts between Vietnam and educational institutions in Romania.

 

On January 22, 2024, at the Prime Minister's Office in Bucharest, Professor Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, the Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, presented a Memorandum of Understanding for bilateral cooperation to Professor Catalin Florin Cîrstoiu, the acting Director of the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest. This marked a significant milestone in the collaborative relationship between the two institutions. On this occasion, Professor Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy visited and worked at University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest and the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest, touring modern facilities and discussing potential collaboration plans.

 

The signed memorandum of understanding aims at comprehensive collaboration, focusing on improving healthcare services and advancing academic research between the two organizations. Clinical areas such as gastroenterology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, oncology, infectious diseases, public health, and telehealth are emphasized. Beyond clinical collaboration, both parties will work together to promote cancer diagnostics and participate in joint research efforts related to cancer. The collaboration also highlights the integration of new healthcare technologies to enhance efficiency and safety in healthcare operations.

 

This memorandum is expected to foster dynamic exchanges between the leadership and experts of both organizations. They will collaborate to organize workshops and academic activities, establishing a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development. This bilateral collaboration is considered as a mutual commitment to achieving excellence in healthcare and academia, contributing to global advancements.
