Youth Health Day 2017 (06-07-2017 10:44)

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Republic of Korea diplomatic ties, on July 1, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University in collaboration with Gachon University - South Korea held Youth Health Day 2017. The event started the month of Cultural and Academic Exchange. The Youth Health Day was sponsored by Yonsei University, JEI College, AMA English Language Center and Lotte Cinema.

 

Youth Health Day 2017 was expected to welcome 1,500 students from Thua Thien Hue province. The students got health check, weight, height, body index, blood pressure measured and were counsulted on caring of skin, eye, oral health, mental health, first aid and participated in Korean cultural exchange activities such as Korean folk games, memory photos with traditional Korean costumes. Especially, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy prepared exhibitions and orientation booths for the youth who wanted to know more about medical and health sciences majors so as to help them have better understanding and orientation for undergraduate degrees.

Students had their oral health checked

 

 

Previously, in December 2015, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in collaboration with Cheju Halla University, Korea held Health Day 2015 with the participation of more than 1,000 medical and pharmaceutical students. The students had their health checked and were consulted on physical and mental health issues, and learned experience from international volunteers.

 

Later on, Health Day 2016 attracted nearly 2,000 local people to participate in the examination of height, weight, blood pressure and blood glucose levels, who were also consulted by experts on common pathology, such as diabetes, cancer, mental health, school health, necessary basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, and in cultural exchange activities.
