At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, Hue University President mentioned the precious value of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and reviewed some significant achievements of Hue University.

During the past year, due to epidemics and natural disasters, leaders and staff of Hue University, member universities, schools, affiliated institutes, and students have overcome challenges and achieved many significant results in the following fields:

- Organizing successfully the 6th Party Congress of Hue University for the term 2020 – 2025.
- Strengthening and restructuring of training careers, expanding training scales, improving training quality to meet socio-economic development needs. Approximately 10,000 students enrolled this academic year, marking the highest number of students in recent years.
- Completing the educational quality assurance system and network; 6 training programs meeting the national quality accreditation; developing database ranking of Hue University; enhancing entrepreneurship, innovation for students.
- Scientific and technological products increase by 15%; intellectual property increases from 6 to 11 projects; there are 343 international articles; Hue University Journal of Science has joined DOAJ ...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee extended his congratulations to Hue University lecturers on the 38th-anniversary ceremony of Vietnamese teachers and acknowledged the efforts and achievements of Hue University lecturers in recent years.

On this occasion, Hue University presented awards to 01 lecturer who became Professor before the age of 45; 05 lecturers who became Associate Professors before the age of 40; 04 lecturers who successfully defended their Ph.D. theses before the age of 30 and 6 months ahead of schedule; and 03 lecturers who won national awards 2020.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, Hue University President awarded certificates of merit to Professors and Associate Professors of Hue University who became Professor before the age of 45 and became the Associate Professor before the age of 40.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Hue University Vice President awarded certificates of merit to individuals defending Ph.D. thesis before the age of 30 and 6 months ahead of the schedule.
