Hue University and Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium entered into a cooperation agreement (13-04-2016 03:04)

On 08/04/2016, at Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University signed a cooperation agreement with Prof. Didier Viviers, Rector of Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium (ULB). Attending the ceremony were Prof. Serge Jaumain, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Communication Strategies, and Professor Jean-Michel De Waele, Vice- Rector for Student Affairs, Social Policy and Institutional relations from ULB and Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University.

The content of the MOU includes exchanging lecturers, researchers and students; development of joint training programs, research activities; organizing conferences, seminars and exchange of information.

 

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Didier Viviers, Rector of ULB appreciated the advantages, potentials and training quality of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism -Hue University. Tourism is also a highly valued program at ULB’s Faculty of Sciences. On the basis of this agreement, the two sides will discuss and make specific arrangements for the first cooperation in the field of tourism and identify potential cooperation in other fields of mutual interest such as biotechnology, Information Technology, etc.

 

Established since 1834, ULB is a multidisciplinary university, located in central Europe, with more than 1/3 of students and researchers from abroad. The University has 12 faculties with 40 undergraduate programs, 247 graduate programs, of which many are taught in English. Currently, ULB has one PhD student from the Faculty of Tourism - Hue University.
