Hue University entered into a cooperation agreement with Pitzer College - United States

On 01/10/2017, at Hue University, Assoc.Prof.Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University and Prof. Nigel Boyle, Pitzer College Vice President for Academic Affairs - United States signed a memorandum of agreement.
Pitzer College, founded in 1963, a member of the Claremont Colleges, is a top-ranked liberal arts and sciences college located in Claremont California. Pitzer College's ranking in the 2017 edition of Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges, 32. The college has the most faculty and students granted Fulbright scholarships and grants.
Hue University and Pitzer College discussed in detail and came to an agreement to exchange students in language and cultural programs through 2017-2019, other international study opportunities in the following years. In addition, Hue University and Pitzer College will inaugurate an intensive language and culture program this summer. A group of approximately 10 students will study Vietnamese language, participate in seminars on key issues in contemporary Vietnam and live with host families in Hue city for 6 weeks from May to July. HU and Pitzer may elect to develop faculty or staff exchanges or collaborative projects to include teaching, research and/or joint grant proposals. Both institutions will encourage applicants for Fulbright Fellowships to teach or conduct research in their respective campuses.
