HE. Hugh Borrowman, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam: bond between Hue University and Australian universities will be strengthened (13-05-2016 11:06)

 

In the afternoon of April 13, at Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University welcomed HE. Hugh Borrowman, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam in his courtesy visit to Hue University.

 

On behalf of Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan highly appreciated Australia’s effective support in numerous cooperation programs and projects at Hue University, including advanced undergraduate joint program in Agricultural Economics - Finance between College of Economics - Hue University and University of Sydney, the cooperation projects in the fields of medicine and language. Notably, thanks to scholarship programs of the Australian Government, many faculty members and students of Hue University had the opportunity to receive an advanced education in the world and served better the development of education at Hue University upon their return to Vietnam.

 

HE. Hugh Borrowman showed appreciation for the importance of cooperation in education between Hue University and Australian universities and recognized the ability and potential of Hue University’s staff, faculty and students in strengthening cooperative relations between the two countries. The Australian government’s scholarship programs including the New Colombo Plan program attracted the participation of many academic staff and students of both countries. Before the end of his term in Vietnam, HE. Hugh Borrowman desired in the future the two governments will further promote cooperation and exchange in the fields of education, culture and art.

 

 

HE. Hugh Borrowman also spent time meeting Hue University’s staff, faculty and students in Endeavour scholarship information session.
