The structure of the course will be based on frontal classes and laboratories, as well as fieldwork. Courses will be geared towards analysis and design of sustainable, organic farming systems; understanding management options for sustainable, organic farming compared with conventional farming; biodiversity conservation; insight into factors affecting plant health; and quality of organic products.

Concerning the Pedagogical Approach, traditional in-class lectures will be applied, to maintain the bonding between students and teachers, field trips to agricultural centers, industries, environmentally friendly, and organic farmlands. Teaching hours will also be conducted in Laboratories where basic and complex analyses of soil pesticides, fertilizers will be conducted.

The workshop was divided into different sessions regarding the accreditation and quality criteria applied in Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
