Workshop on Promoting Cooperation in Education between Vietnam and Japan 2013 (14-09-2013 10:00)

On September 14, 2013, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - Kyoto University Collaboration Office (VKCO) and Hue University co-hosted the workshop on Promoting Cooperation in Education between Vietnam and Japan 2013. The workshop received Prof. Bui Van Ga , Deputy Minister of Education and Training , Mr. Tetsuya SATO , 2nd Secretary , Embassy of Japan in Vietnam , Prof. Phung Xuan Nha, VNU’s president, Prof. Nguyen Van Toan , Hue University President, representatives of major universities of Japan, and leaders of colleges and Education and Training departments.

At the workshop, Prof. Bui Van Ga emphasized on the long tradition of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. In recent years, with the development of Vietnam's economy, the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Japan has achieved brilliant achievements in many aspects of economy, society, culture, science and technology, particularly in the field of education and training. The number of Vietnam students sent to study in Japan increased significantly and vice versa.

All reports presented at the workshop focused on such issues as study abroad in Japan, Vietnam and scholarship of Vietnam and Japan governments, Japanese teaching in high schools…
