Prof. Hidemi Goto is a Dean of Department of Gastroenterology, Nagoya University Graduate School Medicine. In the last ten years, Professor Hidemi Goto and his colleagues have often visited and worked at the Hospital of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy. He has also provided many supports for the College in training many good doctors in the field of gastroenterology and called for the support of some modern medical equipment.

Thanks to his support and contribution, a Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center, funded by Nagoya University, was opened officially at of the Hospital of College of Medicine and Pharmacy. The centre will benefit thousands of patients in the central region and provide a good opportunity for the college to expand international co-operation and promote exchanges in the fields of training, research and technical transfer with Japanese partners.

Professor Hidemi Goto was delighted to realize that the Hospital of College of Medicine and Pharmacy had many good and experienced doctors who could be trained to become experts. "The ultimate goal of this cooperation is the training and development of human resources for local health care; then supporting modern medical equipment and technology transfer, improving the quality of health care and services for patients " he said. Also, he would try his best for developing this cooperation.

Professor Cao Ngoc Thanh, Rector of College of Medicine and Pharmacy conferred the Visiting Professor Title on Prof. Yoshiki Hirooka and Dr. Kazuhiki Hayashi.
