At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan emphasized the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos and said that Hue University was ready to cooperate with educational institutions of Laos to strengthen and develop the good relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of education and training. It was necessary to improve the human resources for Savannakhet University by issuing some scholarships on Master’s programs and Ph.D programs at the University of Hue, implementing some cooperative programs such as student and staff exchanges, and building some collaborative projects between the two universities.

Mr. Souliyong Xaykosy appreciated the capacity and training level of Hue University. This signing would help Savannakhet University to improve the capacity building and training in some key fields. Savannakhet University wanted to cooperate with the Vietnamese universities in general and Hue University in particular.

The signing of MOU would promote the cooperation in undergraduate and postgraduate training between two universities, and contribute to further tighten the cooperative relationship regarding education and training between Vietnam and Laos.
