Vietnam National Biotechnology Conference is an annual event of Vietnam Society for Biotechnology. In 2020, the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University, Vietnam Association of Biotechnology, and Thua Thien Hue Department of Science and Technology organized the National Biotechnology Conference 2020. This conference provided the scientific forum for scientists, lecturers, students of universities, institutes, and companies to present research activities and exchange ideas in the field of Biotechnology. 

The conference mentioned on Gene technology, Biochemical and Protein Engineering, Cell Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology and Fermentation Technology, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Biotechnology, and Environmental and Agricultural Biotechnology.

With the participation of more than 300 scientists, 6 research reports in the field of biotechnology, more than 60 subcommittee reports, and nearly 100 poster papers are presented at the conference.

On the afternoon of October 26, 2020, within the framework of the conference, Biotechnology and High-Tech Agriculture Exhibition was also organized at Hue University. It was an opportunity to link the supply and demand of technology in the field of biotechnology and various types of high-tech agriculture.
