In the list of articles published in ISI journals (SCI, SCIE) in 2018, Hanoi University of Technology is ranked first with 312 articles (up 3% compared to 2017). Ranked second is Hue University with 201 articles (up 23%). Next on the list are Hanoi University of Education with 135 articles (up 7%) ranked 3rd, Thai Nguyen University with 107 articles ranked 4th and University of Danang with 123 articles (up 35%) ranked 5th.

The 1.733 articles published in ISI journals (SCI, SCIE) in 2018 belongs to 29 higher education institutions (including Vietnam National Institute of Educational Sciences) under the Ministry of Education and Training.
