55 excellent pupils and students nationwide, selected by Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training were honored to meet with Vietnam Communist Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong

These 55 outstanding pupils and students who were invited to participate in this meeting included medals winners in the regional and international Olympic competitions, students with excellent achievements in their study and scientific research and and those recognised "good people with good deeds" all over the country. 20 of these students were selected by Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training among the students who won the first and second prizes in the Student Scientific Research Award 2018, successfully organized in Hue City by Hue University.

With the theme "Prognosis of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction receiving coronary intervention through skin based on the ratio of neutrophils to Lymphocytes", Doan Pham Phuoc Long excellently won the second prize in the Student Scientific Research Award 2018. Just recently in 2018 graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, Doan Pham Phuoc Long became a lecturer of the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

Previously, as a student of Quoc Hoc – Hue High School for the Gifted (from 2009 to 2012), Doan Pham Phuoc Long won many prestigious prizes such as: First prize in the Science and Technology Creation Contest for high school students 2011; a representatives of Vietnamese students participating in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2011 (Intel ISEF 2011) in the US; First prize in the Viet Nam Science and Engineering Fair 2012 (ViSEF 2012) and Certificate of Merit by Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training; Certificate by VIFOTEC for the topic "Processing and recycling sponge using vegetable oil".

Throughout his study at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University (from 2012 to 2018), Doan Pham Phuoc Long consistently achieved excellent results in scientific research as well as activities of Youth Union, Students Association at University and higher levels. Doan Pham Phuoc Long graduated with a degree in General Practitioner with excellent academic and training qualifications and was recognized as a student of excellent achievements in the whole course of 2012 - 2018.

The current research area of Doan Pham Phuoc Long is internal medicine with major in cardiology. In the near future, Long wishes to continue to study applications in the context of Vietnam in order to help the community improve the quality of health. At the same time, he wishes to focus on improving his teaching skill to better transfer knowledge to students.
