Chinese Deputy Minister of Education visits and works with Hue University (03-06-2009 13:44)

On May 16, 2009, on an official visit to Vietnam, after participating in the 2nd Asia-Europe Meeting Ministers of Education Conference (ASEMME 2), the delegation of The People's Republic of China, led by Deputy Minister Hach Binh, paid a visit and worked with Hue University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President, other Directorial Board members, Directors of Hue University functional offices and Rectors of member colleges solemnly received the delegation.

In the meeting, Deputy Minister Hach Binh greatly appreciated the working results between the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan and representatives from other ASEM countries' Ministries of Education and Training about quality assurance, credit recognition and transfer in ASEM and sustainable human resources development with a view to meeting ASEM's prospective demands. Deputy Minister Hach Binh confirmed his concern and expressed his desire for a stronger growth in the Vietnam-China education cooperative treaty.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President, introduced some outcomes of the cooperation between Hue University and Chinese universities recently and wished to foster a wider and deeper mutual cooperation in the future.

After the meeting, the Chinese Deputy Minister of Education visited Hue University Learning Resources Center.
