Hue University welcomes and works with the Education Counselor of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam (29-05-2009 10:18)
On May 21, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Manh Thanh, Hue University Vice President received and worked with Ms. Sally Burnard, Education Counselor of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam.
At the meeting,  Assoc. Prof. Dr Le Manh Thanh delivered a general introduction about Hue University as well as highly valued the Australian Government's sponsorship for the education of Vietnam in general and Hue city in particular. After finishing the study in Australian Universities, Hue University staff members and lecturers came back home, and gained much considerate success in their career. Hue University always wishes to develop cooperation programs, specifically the joint training ones with Australian Universities.

Ms. Sally Burnard introduced to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Manh Thanh the Australian Endeavor Awards Program. This two-way scholarship aims to help international students come to study in and discover Australia, and conversely provides opportunities for Australian students to study overseas. Also, Ms. Sally Burnard expressed her desire that many Hue University students and researchers would have high chances to undertake their study in Australia, just as Australian counterparts would at Hue University.

On May 22, Ms. Sally Burnard and representatives from the Australian Agency for International Education in Vietnam held a workshop to present the 2010 Endeavour Awards Program at Hue University Learning Resources Center (LRC). The meeting attracted many students and teachers coming to learn more about study chances in Australia.
