On March 17, Hue University Nguyen Van Toan hosted a reception for Mr. Nicolaos D. Kanellos, Ambassador of Greece to Vietnam.

At the reception, Prof. Nguyen Van Toan briefed Mr. Kanellos on Hue University. He hoped that Mr. Kanellos would help bridge Hue University with Greek institutions for academic purposes.

Ambassador Kanellos elaborated on Greek education and the high rankings of its universities. Attaching much importance to education, he wanted to facilitate Hue University partnership with Greek counterparts. Initially, he hoped to establish academic exchange in those areas of mutual interest, such as agro-forestry and environmental science.

After the reception, Ambassador Kanellos gave a talk to Hue University’s students. He discussed Greece's perspective on education and foreign relations.
