150 Hue University students receive Nguyen Truong To Scholarships

On December 25, 2014, 150 scholarship recipients attended Nguyen Truong To Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Hue University. The ceremony was hosted by Vietnam Health, Education and Literature Projects (VNHELP). The ceremony received Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kinh, former Vice President of Hue University, representative of VNHELP in Hue; Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Hue University Vice President; and representatives of Hue University member colleges’ leadership.
It was the 14th consecutive year VNHELP provided Hue University students with financial grants. 150 scholarships of 200 USD each are bestowed upon students each year. On this occasion, 10 students were grantees four years in a row.
On behalf of Hue University, Dr. Truong Quy Tung expressed his deep gratitude to VNHELP and hoped to receive more support in the time to come.
VNHELP is a nonprofit organization founded by oversea Vietnamese in the U.S in 1991 to help financially struggling students. Nguyen Truong To Scholarship is one of VNHELP educational assistance programs. Besides, VNHELP provides practical assistance for Vietnam with regard to healthcare, culture and vocational training programs for street children, orphans and the disabled.
