On April 24, 2015, Hue University President Nguyen Van Toan and Yamagata University Vice President Hironori Yasuda signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Accordingly, the two universities will implement student exchange and accelerate collaboration in areas of comparable strength and interest.

Previously, Yamagata University conducted specific cooperative activities with Faculty of Environment, Hue University College of Sciences. 

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan hoped that the MOU would be effectively implemented for expanding the cooperation between the two universities.

In the afternoon, Yamagata University delegation visited Hue University Colleges of Foreign Languages and Agriculture and Forestry.
