In the framework of VLIR-IUC program, Hue University hosted a workshop on January 28, 2015, focusing on teacher development for research-based education and quality insurance. Prof. Martin Valcke from Ghent University was the principal lecturer. The attendees were Vice Presidents of Hue University, rectors, vice rectors, lectures and other staff from seven member colleges and three faculties of Hue University.

At the workshop, Prof. Martin Valcke made an analysis of university competences. He also presented different teacher development approaches with a focus on research competences. Beside his lecture, participants were assigned tasks so that they could discuss and share practical information concerning those issues.

The workshop concluded on the same day.
