Taking place on April 20 and 21, the conference included training sessions, forums with various topics and scientific reports. On the morning of April 20, parallel training workshops on health HIA for energy, for dengue hemorrhagic fever, and for primary health care were organised by CoMP in cooperation with Thailand's NHCO. On the afternoon of April 20, there happened a high-level ASEAN HIA forum with the participation of representatives of ASEAN countries at DG levels of health and environment/ environmental health and other sectors to discuss guidance and directions for HIA for ASEAN countries. A plenary session with more than 30 reports from scientists from many countries in ASEAN continued on April 21.

The conference provided an opportunity for exchanging of knowledge, information, experience and sharing the latest research results on HIA in Vietnam, Thailand, ASEAN and other regions; To establish a forum for discussing of current situation of Vietnam, Thailand and other ASEAN countries; To develop and maintain an information database and academic articles on HIA in Vietnam, Thailand, ASEAN and international arena; To establish a cooperation network to develop the HIA system in Vietnam, Thailand and among ASEAN member states as well as international arena.

The 1st ASEAN Conference on Health Impact Assessment was held in Thailand in 2015.
