At the meeting, Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh presented an overview of Hue University and the strengths of the affilicated colleges in Basic Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry and Medicine-Pharmacy. The President expressed his interest that Hue University and Italian universities can cooperate with each other in order to develop training programs as well as practical researches in the mentioned above fields. These programs can only be realized with the involvement of the Italian Embassy as bridge between Hue University and Italian Universities.

Mr. Mariano Anderle - the Scientific Attaché of the Embassy of Italy thanked the President of Hue University for HU's warm welcome. He suggested that Hue University and Italian universities take advantage of the network of European and Asian universities that Hue University is a member to boost cooperation between the two sides. Also, the Scientific Attaché prommised to inform Italian universities, strong in the fields of Agriculture, Environment and Engineering, and to organize seminars with leading professors of the two countries. He had a high opinion of the achievements in international cooperation activities of Hue University and had an optimistic opinion of the relationship when the cooperation between Vietnam - Italy kept growing.

The Attaché also took time to work with the College of Agriculture and Forestry - Hue University and the College of Sciences - Hue University in the next day to get to know the typical characteristics and strengths of the member colleges to propose future cooperation.
