This year, the Organizing Committee of the Awards received 68 outstanding scientific works in 07 fields, 69% more than the Seventh Awards in 2014. Of which, there were 19 pharmaceutical works; 13 Biology for production and life; 13 Science and Humanity; 06 Material technology; 06 Mechanical and automation; 5 Information technology, electronics and telecommunications; and 06 Environmental protection technology, Rational use of natural resources, Use of new energy.

After careful selection, the Organizing Committee decided to award 59 outstanding works. Of which, 09 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 18 third prizes, 17 encouragement prizes.

Hue University won 26 out of 59 prizes, occupying 44%. They were 04 first prizes, 06 second prizes, 08 third prizes and 08 encouragement prizes.

College of Sciences, Hue University won 10 prizes, including 01 first prize, 03 second prizes, 03 third prizes and 03 encouragement prizes.

College of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University won 7 prizes, including 02 second prizes, 02 third prizes and 03 encouragement prizes.

College of Education, Hue University won 6 prizes, including 01 first prize, 01 second prize, 02 third prizes and 02 encouragement prizes.

College of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University won 2 prizes, including 01 second prize, and 01 third prize.

Institute of Biology of Biotechnology won 01 first prize.

The units which had many projects included Hue Central Hospital (14 works), College of Sciences (11 works), College of Agriculture and Forestry (09 works).
