At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University introduced the history of 60 years of founding and development and the structure of Hue University and its affiliate institutions and invited the German Ambassador to attend the celebration of 60 years of founding and development of Hue University on 03/03/2017. The German Ambassador thanked for the warm welcome of Hue University and expressed his desire to promote cultural cooperation and academic exchanges in the areas of Language, Medicine, Agriculture and Forestry. He wanted to build a center for cultural, language, academic exchanges in Central Vietnam, specifically Hue University.

Ms. Anke Stahl - Director of DAAD in Hanoi highly valued the recent achievements of the cooperation between Hue University and European universities including Germany, which will faciliate Hue University's exchange of lecturers, students, academic exchange with German universities. Ms. Anke Stahl confirmed DAAD’s support in boosting cooperation between Hue University and German universities in the fields which is important to Central Vietnam such as Agronomy, Environment, Economy and Entrepreneurship.

In the same day, the delegation visited and worked with College of Medicine and Pharmacy and College of Foreign Languages - Hue University.

DAAD is an organization that supports the exchange of international students and scientists. DAAD represents 231 German universities and has more than 500 employees in over 100 countries.

Ambassador Christian Berger planted tribute trees at the College of Medicine – Hue University.

The delegation visited the Hall of History of College of Foreign Languages – Hue University.
