Ambassador of Canada to Vietnam visits Hue University College of Foreign Languages

On the morning of October 31, 2012, the Ambassador of Canada to Vietnam, Ms Deborah Chatsis, paid a visit to Hue University College of Foreign Languages. She was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Phuoc, Hue University College of Foreign Languages’ Rector, lecturers and students of Faculty of International Studies.
At the meeting, the both sides discussed the cooperation and investment of Canada in Vietnam. The Ambassador also introduced some types of Canadian government’s support for Vietnam in term of education and training such as scholarships, students, staff and lecturers exchange, etc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Phuoc appreciated the help of Canadian government and wished to receive support from the Embassy of Canada in building the Faculty of Canadian studies at the College.
After the meeting, the Ambassador had a talk with students of the Faculty of International Studies and the Faculty of English.
The visit of Canadian Ambassador is a chance to establish new relationship and further cooperation between Hue University College of Foreign Languages and other educational institutes of Canada in the future.
