Being one of the first overseas Vietnamese making great contributions to Vietnam Education since 1994, Prof. Dr. Tung X. Bui received an honorable merit award from the Ministry of Education and Training in 2011 for his contributions to Vietnam education.

With Hue University, Prof. Dr. Tung X. Bui is a consultant for the Project on Sustainable development of Hue University Learning Resources Center. Prof. Bui Tung has stepped up various cooperation programs in training and research of Hue University.

Prof. Bui is the bridge connecting Hue University with different universities in the world including University of Hawaii, Chaminade University, KKC Community College, John Burns Medical School, Leahi Hospital, U.S, Guangdong University, China, and so on. Hue University has been invited by University of Hawaii to attend APEC Submit in Hawaii in the honor with Vietnam President Truong Tan Sang.

Upon those significant contributions, Prof. Dr. Tung X. Bui deserves the conferment of Honorary Professor of Hue University.
