At the meeting, Her Excellency Ambassador paid special attention to Laotian expatriate students. So far, there are 150 Laotian students studying at Hue University via governmental-level agreement, provincial-level cooperation, and self-sufficient overseas study. Hue University always takes great care of Laotian students, creating favorable conditions for them to study, entertain as well as celebrate traditional Laotian festivals. However, Laotian students' academic performance is generally just below average with 70% of students ranked credit, due to language barrier. Mr. Le Thanh Son hoped to receive more and more Laotian students coming to Hue University to study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He promised to create more conditions for them to attend additional courses in Vietnamese for their better study in their subjects.

Her Excellency Ambassador believes that Vietnam plays an important role in training human resources for Laos, and that Hue University is an advantageous destination. It once more confirms that the age-old friendly relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and peoples are growing day by day.
