College of Foreign Languages - HU: The third seminar on Teaching techniques for the 21st century

From June 13 to June 15, 2008, Hue University - College of Foreign Languages in cooperation with Japan Association for Language Teaching held the 3rd seminar on Teaching techniques for the 21st century with the guidance and participation of Professors from America, British, New Zealand belonging to Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT).

Participants were 150 high-school
teachers and lecturers at universities and colleges from 16 provinces and cities
over the country and Master students of English from Hue University - College of
Foreign Languages.
35 lectures were presented
focusing on the following issues: exchanging skills and techniques on
collaborative teaching techniques, developing activities from task-based and
context-based lesson plan model, communicative language teaching, training
communication strategies, enhancing different skills of communication,
discussion, listening, speaking, writing and creating poems and plays. Besides,
the participants also exchanged opinions and discuss the techniques on testing,
evaluating, managing large classes and applying information technology into
managing and teaching, ect.
This is the third time Japan
Association for Language Teaching (JALT) in cooperation with Hue University -
College of Foreign Languages has held seminar on English language teaching.
