The celebration was grateful for the presence of Mr. Ho Xuan Man – Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ngo Hoa – Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's Committee. Representatives of Hue University included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Toan – Secretary of the University Party Committee and Hue University President, leaderships of Hue University, of its member colleges and subordinate institutions, some 300 teachers having the titles of People’s Teacher, Merit Teacher, Professor, Associate Professor, and lecturers defending doctoral thesis in 2008.   

This year, Hue University had the honor of having 2 teachers receiving the title of People’s Teacher and 13 teachers receiving the title of Merit Teacher, which increased the number of People’s Teacher to three and the number of Merit Teacher to 63.
