Within the work schedule in Thua Thien-Hue province, the U.S Deputy Chief of Mission in Hanoi, Mrs. Virginia E. Palmer, spent time visiting Hue College of Education, Hue University on December 12, 2008.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Anh, Rector of College of Education, managing board members, heads of subordinate offices and Physics Department welcomed the corp. 

At the reception, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Anh gave a speech to welcome the U.S Deputy Chief of Mission to visit the College and express his hope that educational cooperation between Hue College of Education and U.S colleges in general, and University of Virginia in particular would be pushed up.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Dac Chung, Vice Rector of College of Education introduced the College's training scale and outstanding achievements in its history of establishment and development.

Significantly, the joint program in Advanced Physics Bachelors with University of Virginia (U.S) is one of the important steps of the College in reforming teaching methods and upgrading training quality.

Mrs. Virginia E. Palmer had a talk with teachers from Department of Physics and students from the Advanced Physics class on the following issues: Bilateral relationship between Vietnam and the U.S, mutual cooperation in education and training, Physics teaching in the U.S., and supporting information about foreign language learning, scholarship sources on other channels beside Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training’ s one.

After the talk, Mrs. Virginia E. Palm visited the classroom and Executive Office of the Advanced Physics Program. Concurrently, she expressed her joy at the warm and considerate welcome of the College’s leaders.
