At the meeting, the leaders of Hue University and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province discussed cooperation in specific fields between the two sides in training human resources, scientific research, and technology transfer, in which Hue University has strengths such as health, agriculture and rural development, economics, social sciences, and humanities. This is in line with the socio-economic development needs of Quang Tri province. The two sides also discussed the role, position, and development orientation of the Branch of Hue University in Quang Tri; and the orientation of developing the Center for National Defense and Security Education of Hue University in association with the promotion of historical and cultural values in Quang Tri province.

On the morning of February 9, 2023, leaders of Hue University, member universities, and institutes offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery in Quang Tri province.
